Well Sunday was just an awesome gorgeous day with no humidity and temps that reached the high 70's with bright sunshine and blue skies. A nice gentle breeze kept it comfortable even in the direct sunlight. I sat out in the back yard for a couple hours in the afternoon and read.
We started the morning with a roll out around 6:30 'ish as it was a church day. After our hot drinks, a few quiet moments and a lite breakfast we got ready for worship at Element Church in Tampa. While our son Bobby who is the lead pastor at Element wasn't there this Sunday due to a cooking engagement in New Mexico; Blake filled in for him and did a really nice job. The praise music was excellent as well and led by Caleb. We rode with Dan and Carol as it was their turn to drive and we were back home around 12:30.
We had a fresh salad for lunch as we knew we were in for a large family meal around 6 at GG's to celebrate Nancy's birthday. GG fixed a beef roast, smashed 'taters and gravy, carrots, cauliflower and we brought a salad and GG made another chocolate cake with chocolate icing. The meal was very good and Nancy opened presents and cards from all. We had a fun time and over ate again. We have to do it all again tonight as we go to Amy and Tyler's to celebrate Sam's 4th birthday. By the way his grandmother is 57 today as well. He and Nancy share the same birth date. It was a fun time with Betsy and Braden attending as well. Little Eliza Faye is growing and is just such a very relaxed baby and you would never know Amy had a baby 6 weeks ago. She is back to being her stick figure and we wonder how that can be after delivering 3 babies at more than 9 pounds. After the cleanup we headed home to read and watch a little T.V. while Nancy played on her Air Ipad.
Well just an update on the back and leg and I'm thrilled to report the serious pain is gone and I'm almost back to being normal if that's possible with my back history. I will probably have bouts where the arthritis is more painful at times but with the way it is now I can certainly still maintain an active lifestyle and I'm more than thrilled, especially since I'm not using any pain meds. I'm still being adjusted and limbered up by the chiropractor a couple times a week and if that's what it takes then I'm on board for the long haul. I just wish I could lose some of this spare roll of fat around my belly but with the way we have been eating lately that's not going to happen anytime soon, LATER
