Well I must say this morning my knee is feeling a ton better than yesterday morning. I did get some sleep as well. I still have some swelling but the pain has subsided and today I will once again rest it, ice it and wrap it. Nancy almost had me convinced to see a doctor but since I suffered this same type of injury several years ago I knew what at doctor would tell me to treat a popliteal (Bakers) cyst. Well the regiment I used then is now working so far and just resting it, is a big factor. Seems I overdo it with physical exercise and that is common with professional athletes as well.
Wednesday morning started out with me up all night due to this condition with the knee and it took until late afternoon for the pain to finally become almost nil. Ibuprofen has been a big help with the pain and inflammation. I was able to stand without to much pain to hand water my gardens in the afternoon and to harvest some herbs for my guacamole for lunch. Once again we had Amy, GG and Eliza Faye for lunch and most of the early afternoon. Nancy was making buckeye cookies and they helped as that is one cookie that takes a lot of individual prep.
I jus laid around with the ice pack and new novel and cat napped a little. Eliza came in several times and laid next to me while I read a book to her. She is just cute and now she is counting as this one book she loves that has apples in it. She also watched cartoons on the laptop from time to time and her facial expressions are priceless. She is so smart as well.
After Amy and GG left to pick up the other kiddos I read and Nancy headed to the store to get a few items she missed getting on Tuesday. We decided to eat leftover burgers as well as fresh yellow squash for supper. We did get to speak with Eddie our friend who suffered the broken neck over a year ago and is mostly paralyzed. He is finally home from the hospital and is making a few strides and contends he will be walking by next summer. With his will power and the help from our Creator he will succeed up to a point. He has already survived this far which was more than I ever thought possible. Keep Eddie Klutzz in your thoughts and prayers. He and his wife Kimberly were and are old friends in N.C.
Well that was about it for the day so after supper, the cleanup we tuned into Fox Cable News and the O'Reilly Factor to get the real scoop on whats going on in America. We have some awful folks who have entered out land and want to change the complexion of this free society with their radicalism and we have a potus who has helped to make that change possible. I'm at a loss for words to describe what has happened to the morale fabric of the USA. I know the Bible speaks of the end times and what was once right is now wrong and just the opposite. We have allowed career politicians to put their interest first instead of the nation and allowed those who won't assimilate to bring their baggage into our culture. I'm to the stage where every immigrant should be vetted by the FBI prior to entering our land. We need some real leadership in this time of crisis where we are no longer made to feel safe from those who want to kill and destroy our way of life, America had better wake up and soon. We need to rid the country of political correctness first which would be a great start, LATER
