Well this year is about gone as we now start into the last month of 2016, yikes where did that time go? Wednesday started out with my 6'ish rollout to start the day and then to my morning routines of a hot cup of green tea laced with the spice/herb turmeric while I posted this ramble so my grand kids will have a general idea of what life was like for their grand parents(us) and what we did after I retired from law enforcement. I spent a few quiet moments with my Creator in humble thanksgiving and intercessory thoughts and prayers for several that I know and love who are hurting, especially the man who raised me from a small child around the age of 4 or 5. Paw Paw is actually my biological uncle who is my mother's younger brother but he has been a father to me and his daughters who came along after I was living with him and my aunt Joann, so I'm their big brother as well. Paw Paw needs some special prayer for his health as he is still confined to the bed in the VA hospital. He has always been a robust and very active hard worker and I know this confinement is hard on him.
I headed out for some pickle ball around 8'ish to the rec. where 4 of us A players managed to keep one court for nearly an hour and a half with constant play. Once again I left there with a soaked t-shirt and worn out. I'm loving this everyday play as my stamina level is up and my weight is holding almost where I like it. Maybe another pound or so but the spare tire of 10 plus pounds has melted mostly away or been reduced. I'm still enjoying my variety of eating with smaller portions and no desserts or snacks except for fresh fruit. I know staying busy and on my feet for most of the day has helped with this weight loss.
I finished the third book in the Century Trilogy by Ken Follett who is a magnificent historical fiction writer an I'm looking forward to some of his other books. I headed home after pickle ball to watch little Eliza Faye who has stolen our hearts with her personality. She is so cute and full of expressions and has excellent manners. The potty training is going quite well and we are thrilled with that. She reminds us daily of doing ballerina when she turns 3 now that she is trained. She is oh so cute. Amy was running errands and Nancy was having her 6 month checkup with her heart doctor and the results were good with her results. She hasn't had an attack of the "racing heart" in months so that is great. Her sister, Betsy goes in for a hip replacement today so keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We had GG was a supper of Tortilla soup last evening as she missed having lunch today with us. She still sings in a chorus at this young age of 88 which I think is good for her.
After supper and the cleanup we settled into the Fox Cable News with our favorite hosts; Tucker Carson and Bill O'Reilly. I like the fact they both squash the spin that comes with the biased media and those who report it. President Trump is already having a positive influence on the nation more so than Obama did in 8 years and his legacy is kaput. We are learning the biased media was the cause of the riots in Charlotte when they reported false and misleading stories about why this less than honest black man who was holding a gun was killed by a police officer who was also black. This biased reporting caused all kinds of innocent folks to be hurt with one killed and lots of property damage by the rioting thugs and criminals associated with that BLM bunch. It's a total shame the media wants such criminal activity and such race baiting. I hope those who have been hurt by this false reporting actually sue the media for damages. Trump is right about the media they are part of the problem that America faces for failing to report the facts and being biased towards the left and their secular progressive ideology.
Tucker Carson had this college professor who is muslim on his show and she blames US(A) for the radicalization of the Somali who ran over students and then attacked them with a butcher knife in Ohio. No wonder the dumbing down of America is so prevalent as these leftist teachers are so bent on destroying and twisting the truth. I fear there will be an all out war on the muslims in the country if we continue to allow them to spew their hate for America while taking benefits in the form of welfare that we the working people provide. It's time for a change and sent back those who promote such radical ideas to their country of origin, LATER
