Well Wednesday morning was a little fuzzy for me as I had to fast because of a blood draw at the VA for health reasons and since we ate early on Tuesday evening I was slow and some what NOT WITH IT" on the pickle ball court at first. Eventually I seemed to get back some energy as the morning progressed and I left a few minutes early to make the 10 AM blood draw, oh well.
I drove to the Rec and took two bags of veggies for players there as the tomato's and kale's continue to produce. I gave away another sack of tomato's to neighbors as they continue to ripen. What a year and despite the fruit flies destroying so many as well. I'm hoping to get some volunteer seedlings from both the small tomato's and these large ones to take with me to the mountain garden when we leave in about 4 weeks. I did find two pepper seedlings in the compost pile and have now transplanted them into a large pot to take with me. I'm hoping they are jalapeno peppers.
After the VA appointment I ran some errands since I was out and then came back and had lunch before heading out to work in the gardens and back yard. I helped put back up our neighbors fence which had fallen and had been down on the ground for quite some time. He is disabled to some extent and he is letting me use his yard for the rotten fence storage I'm replacing until it can be trucked away. I dug three post holes and used some of the posts from my old fence which were still strong to brace his fence up between his neighbors since his fence had been down for what seemed years. That kept me busy for a couple hours.
The heat was back so I took the next couple hours and read until supper time. I grilled venison burger for our supper which were awesome. The meat neighbor Gerald had blessed us was killed on our property and delicious is the word to describe this meat. We had sliced tomato's and onions as well as dill pickles to accompany the burger along with some tater tots. We headed out a little after 6 for the Seminole campus of BridgePoint for our Wednesday evening prayer meeting. The praise and worship music was heart felt and then we heard a brief message before gathering in small group to pray for our concerns and folks in need of divine intervention. We mingled afterwards until 8:30 before heading home. The campus is coming right along with the outside building being renovated and painted and the inside is looking more complete every week.
I came back and watched the Ray's hold on to a lead and a win over the good Oakland team 2-0. It w3asn't long after the game it was shower time and then some horizontal lab by 10'ish, LATER
