Well it was rain to start the morning but eventually it cleared off with tons of sunshine and mild temps. The dog and the kids played outside for most of the day running from the dog and wearing him out. He is just a bundle of energy and attacks them when they tease him with any kind of a stick.
I started the day with my usual 6'ish roll out to my morning routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift up several for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding. I got in two hikes during the day and did some hoeing to loosen up the rain caked soli around the garden plants. The back muscle maybe getting a little better or maybe I'm tolerating the muscle ache better. I'm still taking it easy to some degree and I'm hoping for it to completely heal in the near future.
We had big breakfasts once again and these kiddo's can pack away the chow. Nancy made a huge pot of zuppa soup which everyone loves but Tyler who is allergic to garlic so he finished up the ribs and some steak for his supper. They all had lunch meat and leftover chicken on sandwiches for lunch plus anything else they could snack on. They are growing and are bundles of energy.
They headed over to visit our "mountain mom" in the afternoon and then came back and had supper. We had taken a before lunch hike that Nancy went on with us and then after supper I did a small hike as I didn't want aggravate the back muscle but did get in some exercise. Ann and Frank came by and I came them some tomato plants that I had extras of as well as some 4 o'clock flowers for their garden. Tyler and I watched the Ray's finally win over the Cubs in Chicago by a close score of 5-4.
That was about it for the day as we are hoping the rain stays away once again and we can play and work outside. They lerave tomorrow morning for a week as we watch the dog, Rocky, LATER
