Well Sunday found us skipping the service at Cornerstone mainly because it wasn't really a normal worship service as the pastor was gone and the service was about one of the local programs, so we worshipped with our Bridgepoint Florida church family on line and Tyler brought a powerful message, relative to what is occurring in todays unrest. Afterwards we met at the local pizzeria in Sparta with friends Katelyn, Jake and baby Skylar for lunch. I had Jake afterwards help me put together the basket swing which required some muscle to get the rims to align up for putting the bolts through. Nancy and I tried for a couple hours but gave up in frustration as I knew it would work but with the back issues I couldn't exert enough pressure, oh well I hung the swing when we got home. Many thanks to Jake.
The rest of the day was doing some piddly chores and we even took a golf cart trip to the top later in the evening after supper. It rained on us in Sparta and there were rumblings all around but the rain skipped our place. We sat and played cards for awhile thinking at times it was going to storm with the dark rain clouds and thunder but none fell. I was actually looking forward to a little rain as I'm hand watering almost daily the new seedlings as well as the squash and cucumbers which are starting to set fruit on the plants. We will have a ton of zucchini and cukes as the vines look great in the new circle bed.
The bloody deer ate off most of the sun flowers which were really starting to grow as well as more new growth on the raspberry bushes. It's not looking good for their production this year despite keeping a fence around them all winter. Maybe next year I'll leave the fence up until we start to pick them in summer, oh well. Such as it is when you live in the woods,
but I do enjoy my deer burgers so I guess we are even. The back is still in turmoil as I do think the prednisone has helped with the extreme painful inflammation but I'm beginning to think its a pinched nerve and may require hopefully just an adjustment and not surgery. I wouldn't like to think that may have to occur to relieve this constant ache in the lower back, thigh and knee. I suppose my hard activity days are gone or very limited. I'm usually a fast healer but this set back has me wondering about what I can do in the future, oh well.
Well I did set out some lettuce seedlings in the garden wearing a back brace as they were becoming root bound. I see so much yard and garden work thats needs to be done but other than riding the mower this week it will just go undone until or if ever I get this back issue resolved. Pray for me that it will be, LATER
