Well Friday was our warmest day thus far and we actually turned on the a/c in the afternoon for the first time this summer. The mornings are nice and once that sunshine took over from the clouds it got up into the 80's which isn't really hot for Florida, but for here its hot. I started the day with my usual before 6 rollout to my routines that start with some quiet time after posting this ramble to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healings, all are holding at this time except Helen who had contracted covid at the ALF in Elkin. We spoke with her and she sounded horrible.
Well we had another fun day with the grands but they are leaving this morning for Seminole. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers for traveling mercies and safety. They should be home by dark depending on how many stops they make with Rocky.
We ate good yesterday with a huge breakfast of French toast, bacon and eggs plus juice and then again for lunch with deli sandwiches and then Mexican dishes for supper. We ate every supper on the deck which was delightful. Rocky ran and played and got so hot at times we put him downstairs in the basement to cool off from time to time. He is one hard headed animal but such a gentle giant. He can not stand some things and barks for you to quit what your doing like singing or hugging and he hates cardboard boxes and sticks which just drive him crazy. He attacks large sticks and the grands just tease him with them. I'll be picking up discarded sticks this morning after they leave as well as taking down the fences around the flower and veggie gardens. We played Sequence again after our showers and the girls won again 4-1. They are the champs this summer.
It wasn't long until everyone hit the sack as they get up early this morning and leave. I hear them upstairs getting dressed and then will head down for coffee before heading out. Rocky will surely miss his freedom here and the coolness of the mornings and nights, LATER
