Well the Ides of March are just about gone for another year and the doldrums of summer are upon as we head into April. The heat wasn't as bad as the day before with temps 10 degrees cooler to start the day but the a/c hasn't stopped either. I started the day out much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my routines that always start with some quiet time time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and lift several up for comfort and healing. I've added another gal to the list who works at the REC and who is under going chemo for breast cancer, the rest are holding as I post.
I got in two solid hours of pickle ball play and then headed home to work in the yards and gardens. I mowed both yards and then hand watered everything once again harvesting lots of 'maters both small and large. The Sevin dust has helped with stopping most of the damage to the fruit from the flies but I still find an occasional one deep within the vines they has destroyed. I gave away another couple dozen last evening when we had some friends over for a delicious supper of flank steak, shrimp, asparagus and garden salad with ice cream pie for dessert.
I did watch the opening baseball game with the Rays defeating the tigers at the Trop 4-0 during the afternoon and then the Lightning were winning their game at home as well. After eating supper we played a round of 6 hand Euchre and the gals won for a change. We had the Tracy's and the Botbyl's for supper and games afterwards. They both have made plans to visit at the same time this October for a week at the cabin. We always enjoy the company with good eatin' and games during the evening, LATER
