Well Sunday was an awesome day with temps in the 60's to start the morning and by late afternoon the middle 70's with no humidity and a gentle breeze. We actually cut the a/c off and opened the windows and doors, never would I have thought this cool temp would be seen here in the month of April and its supposed to be like this for the next couple of days. My friend in the northern Virginia area had 30's this morning with a dusting of snow on their porches.
The day started with our usual wake up around 6'ish as it was corporate worship day at Bridgepoint. We had invited our neighbor Carol to go with us but she was waiting for her daughter to pick up her grandkids and she never showed so she had to drive them back to Tampa. Carol seemed very disappointed she missed attending with us. We had driven separately so she could ride and then we met up with our small group minus Carol who stayed home once again due to some issues. The rest of us after church met at Sonny's for lunch. I will never order their chicken again as it was half cooked both times. Everyone else had a tasty meal.
We got home and read the afternoon away until it was time to visit Amy and Tyler and see their new laminate flooring for their house. It looks very nice and made a big difference with the old shag carpet gone. They were getting a new door installed in their bedroom that opens to the back yard as rain seeped under the door plate yesterday with the blowing rain. We visited for an hour or so and then headed home to watch the opening game for the Ray's vs the Jay's. Well the home team home lost but at least they made it interesting up to the final out. I'm thrilled for the new baseball season and hope to take in a game this year before heading to the mountains.
We snacked on some of the leftovers from last nights supper which were still awesome especially the roasted veggies. Nancy finished up the new Nickolas Sparks book and I the newest Sandra Brown book. We decided about 7'ish to take a hike through the hood and Nancy had a lite jacket on. The air was fresh much like a spring day in the mountains with the sun a bright almost blinding orb as it headed towards setting for the day. All of the oaks are now in full foliage as well as the Jasmine is blooming. The citrus trees are blooming as well and we encountered several on our walk with their delicious smell permeating the area. Oh how we have missed those smells.
Well we were channel surfing after our walk and found a channel about gunslingers in the west which was very interesting. We actually got into an old western movie titled Silverado with a very young Kevin Costner. We watched two hours of it with one more to go but by 10, I was falling asleep during the commercials so I gave it up for some horizontal lab, LATER
