Monday Morning Nov 10th

Well Sunday started out with my usual before 6 rollout to my routines that start with some quiet moments to honor Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding with this post. It had rained a little overnight and in the morning hours and that was a blessing as its been so dry this past week and from what neighbors say weeks before we got back. We watched our Cornerstone Chapel service with Gary Hamrick on TV(internet) before we headed out to our local SRBC where we were back at the the front door greeting folks for the second service. We love this weekly chance to meet and greet folks and especially new folks seeking a church home. Lots of hugs and welcome backs with many hand shakes and tons of smiles and how much we were missed, wow does that not ever make your day and all in the welcoming folks to hear about Jesus and the Bible.

After the service which was led by our men's conference speaker who was a close friend of pastor Tom and Karen we met at the fellowship hall for a free meal for veterans and their spouses which was cantered by Sonny's barbecue. This is a yearly event for those who served the military and in addition a spokes person for the Honor Flight was there and briefed us on that event that is for west central Florida that takes a one day trip to D.C. to visit all of the memorials there. I registered for the flight but it may not occur for some time, anyhow it was a nice program and the food was excellent.

We got back and I settled into the Bucs game which they at one time were winning but blew the lead and lost to the patriots here at home, oh well. They are still in the lead in the division but barely. We skipped any supper after the big meal except for a piece of the left over birthday cake around 6. I finished Bobby's book THE COMING DAWN and now today after pickle ball I'll stop by the library for some new reads.

Tomorrow, on Tuesday several eateries are giving vets free dining so I want to try Applebees for change and its been awhile since we were last there. We usually attend Olive Garden but want to try something different for a change. Our friends don't like Applebee's so we never go there, oh well.

I headed in to watch the late game but instead watched a new show or series on 30 days Alone in the wild with no tools, but the big game had been killed ahead of their arrival, so they had food but have to prepare it for eating among the bears and other predators. Interesting show, LATER
