Well the weather is perfect with no humidity, low 70's with high clouds that kept the temps very comfortable for the Gravel Springs Picnic. It was great to be there again after missing the event last year. I saw lots of family, old friends and a couple who I hadn't seen in 60 years, yikes that was a shock for me. The food was excellent as I had the cured country ham dinner with all the trimmings. I did clog a dance or two with sister Josie but for the most part just visited with folks.
Paw Paw came back and spent the night with us at Dee's and when you hear the phrase you come into the world as a helpless baby and when you grow older the same applies. He is still mobile but is in need of constant attention and his senility is becoming apparently obvious. Well we had a great time and then headed out around 4:30 back to Dee's house where we just spent the evening talking and going over genealogy until it was time for bed. We will visit our old church this morning and then off to the cousin reunion near another old church I attended often as a child. This should be another great day of eating and reminiscing, LATER
