Thursday Morning June 22nd

Well the rain has not stopped as I'm awakened again this morning with heavy down pours and while it did abate to just a drizzle at times on Wednesday its never really stopped to dry out. No sun since Sunday and we are starting to mildew as well, oh well. I suppose this is better than some areas of the country where the heat and drought are evident and causing severe health issues.

I started Wednesday with a well before 6 roll out to my routines to honor my LORD with some quiet time in giving thanks for another day while lifting up several by name for healing and comfort. All are holding as I make this post. We headed to Sparta shortly after breakfast to shop and pick up a prescription for me that was outrageous in price at close to 600 bucks for a blood thinner. Thankfully the next time it will be 1/6 that cost but because I had never had a prescription drug plan with medicare I got caught with something called "in the gap" and had to pay. It seems the doctors because of covid want me on this drug until I die, oh well.

We loaded up once again at Food Lion after a stop at the library for some new reads and then a stop at the local meat market for some veggies before stopping at our "mountain moms" to drop off a few items for her before getting back on the mountain. Our road was washed out with some deep ruts but passable as we left once again around 5:30 for our meeting at Cornerstone in the rain. We are now at over 7 inches since Monday morning and we have guests arriving around lunch time today for a couple of nights. Thankfully they are game players as we will be cabin bound.

I tuned into the college baseball world series games in the afternoon and then watched the Ray's beat the Orioles as well. The local Wake Forest team lost last night to LSU and will have to play them again tonight to see who plays Florida for the championship, thankfully there is some good sports on TV since we are cabin bound from this "duck weather", LATER
