Well Tuesday was another foggy wet day with a rain shower late in the evening. I don't believe we saw the sunshine at all during the day, but despite the overcast skies and fog the rain stayed away for the biggest part of the day which allowed me to travel with neighbor Gerald down to Elkin around 7:30 for a couple hours of pickle ball play at the rec. center with a dozen or so other players. I worked up a total sweat and had some great exercise with these players, many of which are really nice players. The rest of the day was a work day except for the mid morning hike.
I started the day rather early with a 5'ish roll out. We were planning on leaving the cabin at 7:15 for the trip to Elkin so I wanted to do my morning routines before heading out. I had my cup of hot tea while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time in thanksgiving and lifting up several for healing to my Creator and Lord. All seem as well as can be expected at this point in time. I had an apple with some peanut butter for my breakfast, of course I always take a handful of Nutrilite vitamins and supplements each morning before I have my cup of tea. I believe in these products for good health which are grown and processed here in America. Nothing comes from China in these products. They are a little expensive but at least you know what your getting and our team leader has a special every other month. They will double your order at no extra cost. Write me at this post for more details if interested in this offer and or receiving these products.
We got back on the hill around 10'ish and it was still foggy and damp but at least it wasn't raining. Nancy and I decided to take off on our daily hike to the top of the mountain and my blood was still filled with the endorphins from the pickle ball play. I felt the extra workout around 9'ish later in the evening. The hike was uneventful as we couldn't see off the mountain but the exercise was great especially for Nancy. We came back and had a nice fresh garden salad for our lunch and then after an hour of digesting I fired up the weed whacker and spent the next couple hours trimming the property. My arms felt like they were in a trance for a couple hours afterwards. I finally took a break around 4'ish and had a glass of the fruit of the vine before supper. We finished up more leftovers which were awesome to say the least. We ate the last of the venison in burgers which neighbor Gerald had blessed us with that was harvested on our properties along with some corn on the cob and leftover half runner beans.
I did tune into the Ray's game on the net after supper and they were losing for the first time in several games against the second place Yankee's. We are getting excited about seeing our good friends from Florida who are coming today(wed) for the first time ever to the mountains. I was hoping to mow but may have to postpone due to the wetness of the grass, oh well. They will be here close to two full weeks and I'm sure mowing will not disrupt our plans, LATER
This photo doesn't quite show how dense the fog was but we were within 100 feet of a worker on top and couldn't see him but could hear his voice. This shot is going down the back trail.
