Well Tuesday was another warm muggy day which required the a/c to be turned on again; however a front is supposed to come through here later in the night and bring some rain and cooler temps. So cool there will be a frost warning for the counties to our north. Since we are surrounded by the Bay and the Gulf it's unlikely we will see any freezing temps. A change would be nice again for a day or so.
The morning started out much the usual with a 6'ish roll out, a cup of tea then a few quiet moments before a lite breakfast of a fresh grapefruit before riding out to the rec for 2 plus hours of pickle ball. Wow did we ever have some action filled play today with 10 or so players. Lots of wet shirts due to the fast pace. Afterwards I stopped offat the library for some new reads for both Nancy and I that we had on order.
I came back and hand watered the gardens and the new flowers in the front yard. Amy brought Ava by after her 1/2 day of school and then we watched her while she took Sam to the dentist for some cavity repair. It's outrageous what they charge for white fillings in a 3 year olds mouth, anyhow he did fine and was rewarded with trips to the treasure chest afterwards. After they took off Nancy and I headed to Home Depot as she wanted a real tree this year and I needed to buy new burner for my grill. We found a Frazier Fir that came from Boone for a reasonable price and a tree stand that cost nearly as much as the tree itself. We put the tree up and fill the bottom with water and the smell was delicious throughout the house. We have used an artificial tree for years so this is a first for us since the kids were little.
I worked on changing out the universal burner on the grill which turned out to be a bigger project than I first anticipated. It started to sprinkle so I put that job on hold until better lighting and drier conditions. The wind began to pick up and it was blowing rather briskly throughout the evening with rain showers. I somehow scratched or got something embedded in my eye and that irritated me all evening. It's a little better this morning but I can still feel the irritation or scratch, oh well. We pan fried some venison steak along with a baked potato and a salad for supper, Yum!!! After the clean up it was news time and then the O'reilly Factor.
Well today is Thanksgiving Eve and we are making plans to travel over to Bobby's for the big day with family. Jill's folks will be there as well as Arianne and Errol from Miami, Amy and her family as well as GG, Betsy and Braden. There will be a house full and Bob has the perfect place for such a large gang. He will make the turkey and we all bring the famous side dishes. Lots of good eating and it should be a fun time with all the grand kids as well. Those of you who are in the northern part of the country seem to be in for a major storm event that will bring snow to the higher elevations and some heavy rain. Seems this storm is making headlines so be careful, LATER
