Well Saturday was a busy fun filled day after a wet rainy morning that saw a couple of inches of the much needed rain overnight. It also a bit chilly with temps in the 50's to start with and then it warmed up to a balmy 62 degrees by the afternoon. It was one of those days a long sleeve shirt and long britches found me in for a change for all day. We headed over to Brandon to see the grand boys and help Bobby with baby sitting while Katie got an afternoon out with her family.
I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out for some reason because there was no need to get up but I'm a morning person now as I'm usually ready for some horizontal lab by 10'ish at the latest. It was rather wet but the rain had stopped and the sandy soil quickly drains so I headed out after making a trip to Home depot for some corner round to finish off the window seat and pick up a couple pepper plants, both green and jalapeno. My original hot pepper took a dive both its seems to be coming back but still I need jalapeno's from the garden as I've been buying them at the market. Nancy was off with neighbor Carol to one of her lady's study groups for brunch. I purchased a double green pepper pot and then separated the two so that was a good buy at 2 for 1 price; I've had good luck separating the double plants as I did the same with the egg plants which are higher than my head and loaded with blooms and fruits.
Nancy got back around 11'ish and then we headed over to Brandon. The traffic was heavy going over and then coming back later in the evening. It's just unbelievable the amount of vehicles on the road especially on the interstates. Well the boys were sleeping which is a good sign they are on the mend with their tummy issues and when we fed them there was very little throw up which was one of their big issues. Seems they are lactose intolerant and was a major factor for their discomfort and spit ups. They are at least sleeping for an hour in between feeding and not being held which gives Bobby and Katie to at least rest a little and get a few things done. I know last Tuesday we held them for the near complete 9 hours rubbing their tummy in hopes it would calm them down.
After a 3ish feeding we put them in the double stroller and walked around their neighbor hood for over an hour and they never fussed once. Bobby put the on the a blanket on their tummy's to get some exercise which the doctor suggested and while they were not crazy about that position little Huck turned back over by himself 5-6 times. It was amazing he is the strongest of the two and almost 1/3 lighter in weight. He is very strong and was determined he wasn't going to lay on his tummy.
Well we made a stop for a pizza pie on the way home as we stayed longer than we wanted to; but we made a Sam's Club run after church this day and got the few items we needed for this evenings get together with neighbors Dan and Carol for supper and then the super bowl. I was up around 5'ish for the load in this morning for BridgePoint Church and never got a chance to post this ramble, LATER
