Well Friday stayed overcast with a coldness in the air despite the temps being somewhere around the 50's for the day. Sort of reminded me of those cold days we encountered in the mountains when we never saw the sun. By late evening we saw a few shadows and by night fall it was crisp and cold.
Not much happened today as it was much the usual with pickle ball in the morning while Nancy was at her Friday morning Bible study, Amy and the kiddos came for lunch along with GG. I picked and cleaned lots of lettuce, beet greens and kale and then made a huge salad to take with us to Dan and Carol's for a birthday supper for him. Dan finally reached the 60 mark; welcome to the club with Patrick and I. Nancy ran around with GG shopping while I spent the afternoon reading and doing little chores.
Dan had grilled filet mignon's to perfection and Kathryn brought twice baked tater's as well as dips and Nancy had a huge pot of broccoli and Carol made a delicious peach pie; so we feasted and then sat around a talked until after 9'ish. Patrick is having some inter ear difficulties which is resulting in vertigo or dizziness so he wasn't up to snuff. We laughed and cut up and celebrated Danny Boy finally hitting the 60 mark where Patrick and I have been for quite some time. I only have one more year there and then it's the big 70 for me; these young kids I associate with, oh well your only as old as you act and I'm a long way from there.
That was about it for the day so it was hot shower before a few chapters of a new book and then lights out, LATER
