Monday

Well Sunday turned out to be just another beautiful spring like day here in central Florida. Cool temps with little or no humidity and the new leaves are filling the trees in the hood. The couple inches of rain really helped with greening the grass as well. We started the day in a quiet mode as I tried to sleep in until after 7. Our neighbors from the mountain came and spent the night with us while waiting to board a cruise ship on Sunday morning. We had decided to visit our old church because on the 5th Sunday's we have no gathering at Element and a picnic day was scheduled in it's place.

Jodi and Gabriel left around 9 then we headed out shortly thereafter to SFBC. Well it was old home week with us, the Botbyl's, the Carlson's from N.C. and the Hufzingers. It was good to receive so many hugs, handshakes and how much we were missed. Pastor Mike had a good sermon and we celebrated the LORD'S Supper as well. Afterwards the Botbyl's and Carol's mother Jesse and us headed to the Olive Garden for lunch. The food was very good but after 2 bowls of Zuppa soup and a couple bread sticks I was comfortable; but I managed to bring most of Nancy's dish home for lunch on another day.

Well we chilled the rest of the day and I vegetated in front of the NCAA basketball games. The air was still chilly as the day ended with a strong northern breeze. It's so unusual this time of the year to be this chilly but I like it as soon the oppressive heat and humidity will become a familiar topic of conversation around here, LATER
