Sunday Morning

Well Saturday was a beautiful day weather wise but I'm still suffering from this abscessed molar and despite 4 thousand milligrams of antibiotics a day and some very high powered pain meds along with tons of liquid gel Advil I'm not much better than I was nearly a week ago. Something must be done this week as I'm not sure I can stand this much longer. The pain is incessant along with the swelling in the jaw and face. I've used ice packs to no avail. I've been told the tooth can't be extracted until the swelling subsides because of the possibility of the infection getting into the blood stream which is really discouraging at this point in time.

There were moments when Nancy noticed some remarkable changes in the reduced swelling which gave me some hope that maybe this was behind me and at times the pain was basically diminished from the meds; but both came back after a few hours with vengeance. I did venture out to hand water the gardens after a chilly start which found us down into the low 50's to start the day. Nancy made a nice mountain breakfast of buckwheat cakes with blueberries in the batter, a couple cackleberries(eggs) along with a couple strips of bacon. I prepared the bacon a new way in the microwave from a video I saw on Face book and while it took longer than the video time frame, there was almost no mess and no smell of fried bacon in the house and it did get rather crispy. That held us until we met up with Patrick and Kathryn for supper at Guppy's Restaurant on the beach at 4 o'clock. The Botbyl's were supposed to meet us there as well but got a late start from their week in Orlando and then got caught up in the Strawberry Festival traffic on I-4 in Plant City.

We had never been to Guppy's before and it's quite a nice spot with several rooms as well as outside patio dining. The place was filling up fast and I would say it's comparable to the Bone Fish Grille in quality and the prices were about the same as well. I would go there again as it seemed to be as popular as the Salt Rock Grille which is further down the beach. I'm not a fan of the 15% gratuity added to the check as we usually usually tip more than that but what the heck. We came back to their beautiful condo on the beach and played a round of Eucher and the gals won on the last hand in a very close game 10-9. We headed out around 8:30 which was actually 9:30 with the time change overnight. My jaw wasn't feeling too bad at this point but Patrick noticed that suddenly my jaw began to swell before his very eyes as did everyone else as the ibuprofen began to wear off, yikes.

I loaded up once again on the hydrocodone when we got home and headed for the shower and then watched a little NCAA basketball before crashing sometime around 11'ish. Once again sleep eluded me as I was awake with pain around 2 and then again around 4'ish, LATER
