Thursday Morning June 4th

Well Wednesday found us in Galax, Va. for the first time since last October. We did our customary shopping at the super Wal-Mart before stopping at Lowes for a truck load of flowering plants and veggie seedlings. It was close to 1 before we got back on the mountain and after a bite of lunch the work began again.

I started the day with a well before 6 rollout to my usual morning routines that always start with a handful of vitamins and supplements, washed down with a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then did some quiet time with my Lord and Creator giving thanks for my many blessings, and then lifting up several by name for comfort and healing. All seem as well as can be expected due to their ages and health issues. I also lift up our Potus Trump and his family as well those who serve and protect this nation in the military and those of the badge family. I once served in both capacities and I'm so sick of the radicals on the Left who oppose and disrespect all of these families. I'm a true blue patriot to the core as well as believe you reap what you sow.

Our nation is seeing just what the radical liberal socialist are attempting to do to our way of life with these paid for riots by folks who hate this nation and its being funded by Soros who is evil and promoted by the leftest democrats in the congress. We are now seeing the evidence which most of us new all along, the past Obama administration was corrupt, who with their minions in the DOJ and FBI attempted a coup of our duly elected potus Trump. Trump was right all along and now we are seeing the evidence with testimony by those who attempted this coup being grilled in congress by the senate. Our constitution is under duress which gives us our freedoms and liberties as individuals by the corrupt MSM and the Dem's in the house. I'm totally at a loss why so many hate this potus so much. He has done more in 3 years than all of the past administrations since Reagan. He is for America First but we have the globalist hierarchy who want control of our country and he is refusing to sign on to their agendas of one world order.

I took out the circle drive flower bed and then the two beds adjacent to the front porch. They were totally covered in grasses and weeds, so I weed whacked them down and then rotor tilled all of them and the big job was raking up and out all of the rocks, weeds and grass roots. We decided to plant large perennial flowering plants in the circle drive which will hopefully come back each year. I dug holes and added compost and a little organic fertilizer  to each hole. We started with a butterfly bush, a snowball bush, phlox's and then a couple ballon plants. The upper half of the bed I planted some cucumber and yellow squash seedlings. The bed just off the porch we sowed wild flower seeds and the portrait fence bed we sowed the Zinnias seeds I saved from last years crop. I also planted a Trumpet bush which vines and will hopefully cover the arbor in the back yard. Its flowers attract hummingbirds. That was quite a day plus I planted 6 Big Boy tomato plants in the upper patch as well as a couple red peppers and a parsley plant. I now just need to find some onions sets and the garden will be full. I have several pots with lettuces that I hope will make but for some reason lettuce doesn't do as well here in the clay soil.

We worked over the flower bed next to the red shed while we had shade from the one maple tree we left standing the backwoods yard. I need to work over my garlic patch and the other flower beds in the area. We want to sow wild flower seeds in them as well but now we're just pulling out the weeds and grasses. These beds weren't as bad as those in the front of the cabin. Well, the place is starting to shape up but we still have lots of outside chores to do before we can relax completely or some what relax. There is always something to do but I love it. We were planning on a daily hike but was so tired by night fall and going to town which is at least a 2-3 hour chore we skipped today's hike but will start hiking daily in the mornings, LATER
