Monday Morning Aug 25th

Well Sunday was an awesome day of worship both here at the cabin before heading out to Sparta to hear two local missionaries speak of their rescue's of refugees from the muslim religion to christianity in Greece, more on that later. We heard Gary Hamrick from Leesburg, Va. first as we got ready for church. I had started the morning with my usual 6'ish rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus and give thanks for another day and then to lift up several by name for comfort and healing. Most all are holding but my newest addition to the list left this earth for eternity over night and Chris with be missed by so many, as he had close family at Cornerstone and thats where we got to know him and his beautiful family. He leaves behind 4 daughters and a new grandson plus his wife who is the sister of the wife of our pastor. We knew him and Melissa when their girls were but babies and now all are grown up and most are married with this new grand baby, so sad as he was only 58. Many missed diagnosis about the issues with his small intestine and when the real issues were know and exposed it was too late. Rest in Peace Chris in Jesus's loving arms and with no more pain.

We heard from Tim and Sandy Stampler who have made it their life's decisions to go out into the world and help spread the gospel first in China for many years but now with helping those who have been trapped in the evil ideology that muslims are indoctrinated into and where one Arab has made it his life's goal to help with all who want to leave it for christianity. He is wanted by these monsters for his work in the translation of the language to help with their escape as refugees to the country of Greece where these two missionaries now work several months of the year. We help in their cause with financial support as well as do many others. We have know their son who is now the lead pastor at their old church in the Sparta area and so Cornerstone and Grace Community are inter related in the community for Believers and to all who want to come to the knowledge of the gospel and make professions of faith.

After church we met up the Frankis Family for a delicious lunch of pizza and salad at the Pizzeria eatery. There was saw old friends Gerald and Kay Luffman as well as Brandon Crouse and his wife and in laws. Brandon called after lunch and wanted to come by for a visit around 3:30 after we got back from a early afternoon golf cart ride to the top where we met Alicia who and her husband are the new owners of the old Browning place. She showed us all the new improvements to both the small apartment and to the kitchen and bathroom in the main house. Both renovations are great improvements. They are "empty nesters" now that both of their kids are in college. Her husband was on a bike ride so we missed seeing him. We headed on across and saw Billy who gave us some black eyed Sudan seedlings from his giant bed of those gorgeous flowers. We headed back down as we wanted to watch the final game of the LLWS at 3'ish.

Well Brandon called just as we watched the first inning and the team from Taipei was ahead and eventually went on to shut out the team from Nevada 7-0 and they won the championship. Brandon came and stayed through the whole game which really was better than watching the USA team lose so badly. He brought some home made peach jam as well as some blueberry jam he and his wife Betty had made so we in exchange, blessed him with some of our black raspberry jelly. Brandon and his dad added the shower in bathroom up stairs a decade or so ago and have become friends ever since.

After he left we took some green beans from the garden as well as an items from last nights get together down to the Heglar's and visited with them for an hour or two before heading back up the mountain to the cabin where we ate some leftovers for supper and then settled into the series called "Chosen" on prime TV which we seldom watch despite us having it for all of our Amazon deliveries. Now I can watch the TNF on that station as well as I didn't know I had it before, when missing out on those football games. The regular season starts next week end I believe. I soon headed for the shower around 10'ish and called it a night afterwards, LATER
