Thursday Morning July 8th

Well I may just be turning the corner on this back issue as I'm now able to sleep on either side during the night without terrible pain and discomfort. I still feel twinges of pain in the knee which is the nerve being so raw from inflammation but I'm hopeful with this second round of pregnisone all of that inflammation will disappear. I can only hope and pray this is coming to a close and just maybe get back to being pain free for the first time in over 3 weeks. The next few days especially with family and guests arriving for a spell will be the answer if thee meds work.

I started Wednesday out much the same with a before 6 roll out to my usual routines that start with the cup of tea laced with turmeric while I honored my Creator with some quiet time and then lifted up several by name for healing and comfort including myself. We got ready after a breakfast of oatmeal and fruit before heading over to Galax to shop. I gassed up again at 1.85 and stopped and picked up another script for the pregnisone then we headed home with a pizza for our lunch/supper. It was close to 3 before we finished eating and then decided to skip our regular supper time meal and just have a few peanuts around 7 ish.

We packed everything away which now has both fridges and freezers loaded as well as tons of diapers, wipes, etc for the little fellers. Nancy and I piddled around in the basement and the back felt like it was doing better after walking around Wal-Mart a couple hours. I vacuumed the basement while she took out the new mattresses for the bunk beds which started all of this back issue nearly 3 weeks ago. These 5 inch gel mattresses are very comfortable and we will store them up on the main floor when we leave for the winter.

I fired up the weed whacker and mowed a little down below on the level area and then Nancy did the slopes and around the less than level areas. Actually it seemed the exercise did feel good for the back and leg. I did wear my back brace while doing so. I continue to ice the area every hour to which I think helps but the full strength dose of the drug I think made the difference from Tues to Wed. The new script requires another 60 Mg's every day for 3 days then it begins to tamper once again. I'm hopefully this will be the difference as it seems to be already making a difference with the pain at night.

We took a golf cart ride to the top and saw where the folks who cleared off the new lot for the Herron's did a beautiful job and now once the cabin is started and completed they will have such awesome views. The buildings in downtown Winston-Salem were shining brightly from the evening sun. We waved at Billy and Paula and saw Rick through the window and waved as we rode past, LATER
