Well Tuesday was a rather windy and somewhat chilly day that started out with temps in the 40's and eventually we reached the high 50's and maybe some 60's. The wind made it feel even colder, but we did see some sunshine despite the high clouds. I took most of the morning and worked on the taxes for this past year. Amy, GG and Eliza Faye came for lunch and we had a grand time playing with her. She will be 2 next week; where has that time time gone?
Well the morning started much the usual with a 6ish roll out and then my usual routines of a few quiet moments with my Creator, my daily discipline for personal growth and then the posting of this ramble. It was a bit nippy outside with temps in the high 40's but the wind made it feel even colder. I decided to forego any pickle ball play as I'm going to take it easy and slow getting back into shape with the recent knee issues. So far its holding up rather well. I grabbed a Fuji apple and headed out to check on the gardens then put the garbage out to the curb.
This past year saw us with some extremely costly dental work with several root canals and crowns as well as a partial plate for Nancy, when added up it was well over 20 grand, yikes! I will never forget the once in a lifetime pain with an abscess in the lower molar and I would spend that amount again to never experience that kind of pain which I had over a week end when no dentists were around. I would never wish that kind of pain on anyone. Our medical receipts were way above what I would have imagined as we are in relatively good health and yet our insurance costs continue to climb with this unaffordable health care act forced on us by this incompetent potus and his administration.
Well after lunch we played with Eliza while Nancy baked a coconut cookie that she had purchased the ingredients earlier during the Christmas cookie marathon but failed to have the time to bake them. She sent most of them home with Amy for the kiddos. I tried a couple but decided since I'm trying limit my intake of sugar to forgo any more. Amy dropped GG off then headed off to pick up Ava and Sam from school. I piddled around in the garden doing some hand watering. I spent the rest of the afternoon reading and then I snapped the fresh green beans for supper.
Nancy makes this delicious dish of beef and beans in a gravy over Jasmine rice, yeow is that ever delicious and the fresh beans were awesome with flavor. After the cleanup we settled into the FOX Cable news channel and see where the mideast is about to explode into sectarian violence once again between our ally in Saudia Arabia and between the Iranians of whom we have given the money and means to develop a bomb that will annihilate us. We need some leadership on the world scene and former ambassador John Bolton sums it up nicely that we have none in this administration. They had no idea what they were doing when we pulled out of Iraq and now the violence has once more escalated in Afghanistan. Hillary is responsible along with this potus for this mess we are in on the world scene, LATER
