Well Friday was a mixture of fun and work as we get ready to head north on Monday. I managed to get in two hours of pickle ball with mostly B players but the exercise was good as I'm still building up my stamina for those daily up mountain hikes behind our cabin. It was another above average in hot temps but I managed to work in it for some of the day.
I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to a cup of green tea laced with turmeric and fresh ginger while I posted this ramble and then spent a few quiet moments with my Creator lifting up several by name for healing and comfort during their time of need; all seem well as I've heard nothing to the contrary. I headed out before 8 on my bike for two hours of pickle ball play at the rec. with mostly B players but I did get in some exercise and gave a few lessons and tips to some new players.
I headed home and fired up the mower and got both of the yards mowed one last time before leaving. Grand daughter Ava along with her dad, Tyler are mowing this summer to earn some extra money as she made the decision to do so. I hand watered what is left in the garden that I'm taking with me to the mountains. All seems well despite this miserable heat wave with no rain. I came in from outside at noon with a shirt so wet it was dripping from sweat. I took the vacuum and cleaned all of the ceilings fans before stopping until after supper to wash and wax the truck as it usually cooled down enough after the sun dropped below the tree line.
Since I returned all of the reads from the library I got on FaceBook and made a remark about some millennial sucking on a tailpipe in protest to not supporting the New Green Deal proposed by the left and I got banned for three days because it did not meet community standards, that is BS. Well needless to say Nancy wasn't thrilled that she can not like or make any posts so I'm in the dog house for that. I mentioned the left talks about killing babies all the time and I guess that does meet community standards, really. Any how you won't see any activity which maybe I do overdo it at times but someone has to wake up America to what the PC crowd has and is doing to our culture and I for one will not take it lying down.
She got great news from all of her monitoring tests and she is good to go and is now getting more excited for leaving the heat but she and I also are sad to leave our kids and grand kids and our church family but that comes with being blessed with a summer home in the mountains. We were lucky to find land and then afford to build there and each year since retiring 15 years ago and get to go to the high country where it is at least 10 to 15 degrees cooler. We have big plans for some remodeling the upstairs bathroom with a walk in shower, new larger beds and a chair down stairs as we get rid of wicker chairs I refurbished from someone's throw away years ago.
Well the Ray's were winning into the later innings but their manager over managed again and brought in two relievers who are terrible and they lost the game last night. The "deep state" is in a panic mood as their duplicity is being exposed and I'm hoping some will go to jail with AG Barr's referrals and the underling effect their actions have done to our system of government. The idea where non elected
folks in two of the most powerful agencies attempted to destroy a duly elected Potus is unimaginable in our society who were supported by a previous potus and a prior candidate who lost the election.
