Well Thursday was a work day after my usual morning work out on the pickle ball courts at the rec. for two hours. Afterwards I worked in the gardens and yards and dug out around the rear foundation of the house for oak tree roots and found only very small ones. It was years ago I cut the big ones that extended under the house and they have never come back.
The day started much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my cup of hot green tea lace with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent some moments with my Creator in prayer and thanksgiving for many. All is well as I've heard no different and GG especially is doing so much better. Nancy talks with her mom every day and she has noticed some great improvements. Her mind is still sharp while Paw Paw's is starting to slip with his short term memory. Our "mountain mom" is beyond comparison as she is extraordinary independent while living alone and her mind is sharp. All three of these are within a few months in age of each other.
I headed out a little before 8 for the rec. on my bike and once again it was a chilly morning but the birds were singing and it felt just like a N.C. morning with the clean fresh cool air. It did get a little warmer but very little humidity was evident and the breeze kept it quite nice all day. We had the windows and doors open until it was bedtime then turned the a/c on. Amy and Eliza did not come for lunch so we chowed down on a huge salad from the garden which was great and then I headed back outside to work. I harvested a nice mess of fresh collards and got them ready for the pot which then Nancy put on the stove with smoked bacon, onion and chicken broth, yeow what a delicious dish that accompanied some fresh corn on the cob for our supper around 6.
I headed back outside after the cleanup to hand water the new tree and grass plugs as well as pulled and hoed weeds in the yards. I worked out side until nearly 8 then headed for the showers. I found a couple more ripening tomatoes as the bushes are so leafed its hard to see them. I turned on the TV and saw where our Lightning were beating the N.J. team in the first game of the playoff's in hockey. They went on to win 5-2 over this team they had not beat all year. It wasn't long until it was lights out for me at 10'ish after a few minutes on Fox news, LATER
