Well Wednesday started out with me over sleeping or really what happened was the power for some reason went off during the night and the clock by my bed was flashing. It read something after 2 AM when it really was close to 6'ish which is when I'm usually awaken by my internal clock. Well I forced myself to stay in bed as no way was I going to get up that early despite being wide awake. I then notice some light coming through the closed blinds and heard the roosters who moved 3 doors down crowing. My brain finally realized the clock was off and it was actually almost 7 before I rolled out.
After hurriedly making a quick post and eating a grapefruit for breakfast I got ready to head to the rec on my bike. Once I was out the door everything else calmed down as I am not one who likes to be late for anything even if it's my own doing. We had 2 courts going with a mixture of a few mediocre players but it still turned out to a good workout for 2 plus hours of pickle ball. I spoke with neighbor Gerald in the mountains last evening and they have one of the staff members from Cornerstone interested in pickle ball as well. It seems they still have a core group and that maybe getting larger with the addition of Daryl.
I headed home to work in the garden and all of a sudden the humidity rolled in once again with much higher temps so the a/c is back on. I'm back to hand watering twice a day. The garden is growing and I'm getting ready for a mess of fresh collards in the next couple of days. Nancy seems to be doing much better as she is eliminating a few food items from her diet. I think staying away from coffee, citrus and tomatoes have made a great difference with reducing the heartburn and the acid in her stomach.
Well I grilled a couple salmon fillets along with asparagus and macaroni for supper. We ate a little early as we were having our house church which turned out to be just 6 of us as the other couple is in Arizona visiting family. Our project or outreach is to establish a clothes closet for those couples who get foster babies on a moments notice. We will set that up through Element Church in Tampa and begin accepting formula, diapers and baby clothes immediately at the warehouse.
I received a phone call from Eddie in the mountains and he is headed back for more surgery on Friday for his right knee as they will once again remove all of the cement in his leg, repack it again and hopefully get rid of the infection that is still there. He wanted to get the Sequence board they left at the cabin as he now has 3 others staying with him while he recuperates once again. He definitely needs some miraculous healing for that leg so if you find it in your heart; remember him in your thoughts and prayers.
Well that was about it for the day except Nancy made some delicious oatmeal cookies. I broke down and enjoyed a couple especially right out of the oven, ahh they were so good, LATER
