Well Monday turned out to be one of those much needed rain days with a light rain for most of the day. I did see a small break in the early morning as I rode out to the rec on by bike but for the most part it drizzled and fell constantly throughout the evening and most of the night(it's still raining this morning). I started the day much the usual around 6'ish then my routine before pedaling out for some 2 plus hours of pickle ball. We had 3 courts going with good players and lots of wet shirts by 10 AM.
I stopped off at the library on the way home for a couple new reads before pedaling home in a light rain shower or more like a heavy drizzle. The rain has so sparked the grass that is greening up and starting to spread and the new lettuces are loving this weather. They will be ready for the salad bowl in just a few more days. I'm picking tomato's and giving them away every day and they are just about finished for some reason as are the sugar peas. I picked enough to put in a fresh salad but the vines are drying up despite daily watering. Maybe this soaking rain will bring them back as well.
Tyler had to go up to Virginia for an overnight meeting so Amy and the 3 kiddo's came for supper. I grilled chicken breasts and we had sweet taters for us and Jasmine rice for Ava and Sam along with fresh asparagus and a garden salad for supper. I had made an earlier trip to see the chiropractor and he does wonders for my back despite having so much arthritis and scar tissue in the lower back. I feel as good as I did before suffering this set back. I spent the rest of the day and evening reading until supper time.
I was so impressed with this illusionist Brock Gill who we saw on Sunday evening that I wrote him on his Face Book page and he wrote me back. I asked him if he would be interested in doing a show at our church in the mountains and he wanted to know all of the details. I'm waiting to hear back from our pastor there if they would be receptive to having him and his venue for spreading the Gospel sometime this summer. Hopefully I will hear back from them shortly and maybe we can set something up for when we are there during the summer months.
Well that was about it as I watched the Lightning Hockey team play to a tie against the Ottawa team. It was lights out for me around 10:30, LATER
