Well Monday started out with my usual before 6 rollout to my routines that start with some quiet times to honor Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding with this post. I soon headed out to the Rec for a good work out on the pickle ball courts with a mixture of A and B players and worked up a sweat before leaving a little early as I had to drive Nancy to the northern part of the county for a doctors appointment. I read while she was inside and then we made a stop at Sam's Club to gas up at a 2.76 a gallon. That is about what it was most of the summer in the mountains. We then ran a couple errands on the way home and then had a bite of lunch before we were picked up by Tyler and Ava to attend Elizas game in Tampa at a muslim academy at 2 o'clock. The game started at 3:30 but the traffic was unbelievable both going and coming. It took a good hour to get their and as much or more coming home. We watched a little of the middle school boys game and they were getting blown out by what looked like varsity boys who were a foot taller than out boys, oh well.
This place was high dollar with a very modern gym and all of the folks especially the women were covered except for their faces even while playing basketball. The girls were all much taller and seemed much older than our 6th graders and of course they beat our girls by 20 points, but we played much better than on Saturday's blow out loss. They are improving but have a ways to go. Eliza scored several times and is much like her older sister on defense with great tenacity an eagerness. She loves the game and wears her sister number 14 on her jersey.
Well I now have my first half runner green bean popping though the ground as I was beginning to wonder if the seeds were still good. I'll play pickle ball this morning then garden and mow the yards this afternoon while Nancy is off with her sister spending money/shopping. The weather has been awesome with a chill in the air in the morning and up to the low 80's during the afternoon. We do need some rain, LATER
