Well Thursday found me on my back for most of the day as I tried to heal this bum knee which I either strained a ligament or caused the popliteal cyst to become inflamed in the back of the knee joint; either way it was hurting when I put any weight on it so I kept it iced and was taking some anti-inflammatories every 8 hours. This morning it's much better but still has a ways to go before I get back to any rigorous exercise or pickle ball. I did manage to hobble out and hand water the gardens a couple during the day but mainly stayed on my back with the knee elevated with a cold pack for most of the day. I had left my knee brace in the mountains because while during the summer I never needed it despite some physical activities that put a lot of stress on the knee, so I didn't think to bring it back with me, oh well.
I did do some morning routines to start the day after getting a cup of tea and managed to sit at the computer during my quiet time as I use the e-bread website for my daily morning devotions and giving praise and honor to my Creator and Lord for my many blessings. I'm a blessed man and so thankful in so many ways especially when I realize things could change so quickly with life and your body. I seldom stop to realize what a blessing at my age to be able to run, play, work and enjoy physical activity when so many of my classmates are gone forever and many are so incapacitated with physical and health limits. I'm truly blessed at this 75 years of age to play with those players many decades younger and stronger but manage to beat them most of the time on the court. It's not that I always want to win but to always play my best with the talent afforded me by GOD.
Nancy has a cold which we think she picked up from Ava last week. She has been coughing but no fever and while we were supposed to go to watch Ava play in Tampa last evening we both cancelled for this event. We hope to watch her play Saturday in St.Pete. The team lost again to this Tampa team as Amy did go with Sam and Eliza. I watched the Lightning win at home against a tough Blues team who beat them the other night in St.Louis. After a hot shower I was soon in the horizontal position again and slept well through the night. This morning its very foggy for a change, LATER
