Thursday Morning--Last day of Nov.2017

Well where has this month gone? Christmas is just 25 days away and then a new year, wow. The time is just flying by and soon we will be heading back north to the mountains. There has been only one chilly morning so far here in sunny Florida and while I'm not complaining I would like some days where I could shut off the a/c for more than a couple of hours, oh well.

The day stared much the usual with a 6'ish roll out for me to a cup of hot tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent a few quiet moments to honor my Creator in thanksgiving for all the blessings and then to lift up several by name for healing and for comfort. The update on GG is good considering what it has been for the past several months. Paw Paw is still living on his own and will soon be 90 in a few days after he went through some rough times with health issues. Bobby too has overcome some severe sinus infections that required prednisone to overcome the issue and he is back to normal. Our dear friend Joe in the mountains needs lots of prayers for some comfort with his constant pain in the legs but he too is still at home living alone so that is a plus.

I got in a good two hours of steady pickle ball play at the Rec. and left with a wet shirt around 10'ish. I stopped off at the library for a couple new reads I had ordered and one was a could not put down book titled PRISONER B-3087. This young Jewish man of 13 was a Nazi prisoner for several years and lived in 10 different camps and skirted death so many times.  He was alive to be liberated by the Americans at the end of the war and eventually became a US citizen and served in the Army in Korea. I read half the book in one sitting. It's an awesome read how one person could survive the atrocities by Hitler's Nazi's who tried his best to eradicate the Jewish people from Europe. The Holocaust was real folks despite the liberals who try their best to denounce this abomination.

We were heading over to Brandon in the early evening to watch grandson Gabe play in a season ending baseball tournament. We made a stop on the way for supper at a Red Lobster eatery which we had a gift card for. The food was delicious and the service was nice and we made it to the game before it started . We left early because of the traffic and decided to eat in the area as it would be close to 9'ish before the game was over. We learned our server lives in our county and travels daily to Brandon to work so we invited her to BridgePoint Church as she mentioned she was a Believer and was looking for a church. I'm not sure I would visit this eatery again in the near future as its such a distance to drive but the fare was nice.

We watch Gabe get a couple of good hits but the fielding was horrible for the team and they lost the game after leading into the later innings, Oh well. We met up with Katie's family who were in attendance for the game and Bobby did a good job of coaching the team. They were hitting the ball but the other team made less error's especially with their throws which gave the game away for Gabe's team. Anyhow we are thrilled he was able to play and it looks as if he will progress upwards as he shows lots of enthusiasm and skill for the game. We got home around 10'ish and then hit the shower. I was amazed at the traffic at this time of the evening on the interstate and so many reckless drivers traveling at such high rates of speeds. I wish at times I still had the blue light special for some of these idiotic drivers who put so many folks in harms way with their speed and unsafe lane changes while driving, LATER
