Wednesday Morning Sept 20th

Well Tuesday was just a near perfect day with a chilly start and then tons of sunshine and blue skies. It was perfect for a nearly 8 mile hike/walk along the New River Trail in Virginia with the 6 of us. We crossed the New River itself along and an old train trestle and then through a tunnel. The trail is made of cinders which is also perfect for biking and we saw many on the trail.

I started the day with my usual 6'ish rollout to my routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift up several for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding as of now and Nancy seems to have finally over come the nose bleeds, thankfully. I piddled around the cabin until it was time to head out for the Galax area with Steve driving us in his 8 passenger SUV. The hike took us a couple hours and while we have done it many times it was the first for them and they seemed to really enjoy it. We made a grocery stop on the way home and got back to the cabin around 3'ish for a lite lunch of left over soup. Everyone just rested until around 6'ish when we ate a supper of tacos together then settled into 2 games of hand and foot. Well the gals were up one game going into the nights play but the guys pulled it together or the cards just were right tonight and we won two in a row and had the majority wins over this period together. We had the Ray's game on in the back ground and they beat the Angels 6-2 at the Trop in St.Petersburg.

Well it was going on 10 so everyone decided to call it a night and I hit the shower while James decided he wanted to sleep outside in their large van which has beds, a potty and everything found in a camper. He mentioned Anne is a snorer so Anne headed upstairs to sleep alone. It was lights out for me around 10'ish and unknown when Nancy decided to come to bed. We added an extra blanket to the bed which really makes it comfortable and snuggly on these chilly nights. Nancy had the fireplace on yesterday morning for awhile as the temps were in the low 50's. The Martello's leave this morning so it will be just the Nymark's for supper the next several days and games at night, LATER
