Well Tuesday was a busy fun filled day that ended with Nancy and I having a meal with the Tracy's and their families at their beach condo. It was Carol's actual birthday and of course today is actually Nancy's birthday and it had been Jo's birthday on Monday. So we celebrated three birthdays with one cake and a delicious meal of Mexican food which we all love.
The day started with my usual 6'ish roll out. I took a few minutes to honor my Creator and humble myself in His Word, before eventually heading out to the Rec. on my bike for close to two hours of pickle ball. Wow, did we ever have some good matches and I left with a wet shirt which to me is a great sign of a good workout. Afterwards I headed home to work in the gardens but mainly hand watering. The recently transplanted Bibb lettuces are looking good and I've lost none since putting them in the ground on Monday. I picked another mess of collards and took them up to a neighbor along with an Easter egg which is an invite to our Easter service at Bridgepoint Church.
Amy, GG and Eliza came for a lunch of GG's left over meatloaf sandwiches and salad, all of which is so delicious especially with some of my home grown tomato's and lettuce on the sandwich. Delicious!!! After they left for the day I settled into to some serious reading and finished a book by a new author Allen Eskens titled THE GUISE OF ANOTHER. He has only written two books but both of them are real page turners and neither end the way most books do.
Nancy and I made salsa and guacamole using my fresh garden herbs of dill, cilantro, thyme and jalapeno peppers. Wow were they ever tasty and we took these with us to the Tracy's for supper around 6'ish. Both of Patrick's siblings were there with their spouses and then daughter Lauren came as well. We rode over with Dan and Carol. Howard and Jo have to leave a day earlier than planned as their family in Tucson have the flu and need some help, so they leave out as I write this ramble for the airport in Tampa on their way back west. We had such a good time with visiting with them and wish them Godspeed.
We are planning on getting together with the rest of the group minus Dan and Carol on Friday for a trip to the race track to watch the ponies run after our morning routines of Bible study and pickleball. That should be a fun day as we try to attend that venue at least once a year. I'm not sure if we went last year but Nancy loves the through bred horses. I'm sure we will meet somewhere for supper afterwards.
Tonight we pickup GG and head to Amy and Tyler as we have a birthday dinner for little Sam who is actually 6 today. He and Nancy share the same date and she will be 59, yikes!!! Well it will be a fun time of family and of course good eatin', LATER
