Saturday Morning July 23rd

Well Friday was a fun day once again as we all stayed on the mountain except for Bobby and Katie who after lunch and the boys went down for their afternoon, naps headed out. They visited Shelton Vineyards and then headed down town to Mt Airy to shop and visit the area and had an early dinner at one of the eateries. We cleaned up some of the leftovers for supper and had the boys bathed and in their Pj's when they got back on the mountain around 7'ish. We had a great time with all of the grands.

Nancy had prepared a huge mountain breakfast which cared most of us except for some snacks the rest of the day with fried tatters, bacon and eggs as well as some fruit and juice and toast. What a feed. I had already hiked the mountain the first thing after doing my usual morning routines. The weather was perfect to start the day but by the afternoon the heat and humidity was rearing its ugly head so the a/c went back on. I had to actually hand water some of the garden veggies as its been dry the last couple of days despite the threat of some showers. The breeze has been steady which really helped to dry out the gardens as well.

Well today is their last full day and they want to do the slippery rock at Stone Mountain as well as do some shooting. I am sure there will plenty of golf cart rides as well as we took a rather long one after breakfast yesterday. We visited some folks on top we hadn't visited in years who are thinking of selling out in the near future.

After the boys went down for the night we played some games then tuned into the Ray's game via the computer and they were winning when I hit the sack around 10:30, LATER
