Well Sunday was a great day of worship first here at home with Gary Hamrick at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Va. and then again at our local S.R.B.C. We went back to church at 5 PM for a volunteer recognition pizza supper which was fun and we got to meet and greet several folks among what looked to be around 300 folks attending. We met up with a younger couple who we met during our first class and who we hadn't seen since the class. We learned they volunteer and attend the 9 AM service whereas we attend the 10:30 service.
We worked the front table greeting new attendees as well as holding open the large front doors before and after the service. We renewed some old friendships from a couple of our past churches we attended with lots of hugs, handshakes and smiles. We both love being out front greeting and did that in our last role with BridgePoint Church.
We met up with Steve and Sheri at Millers Eatery for a delicious lunch and then headed home to watch some NCAA basketball but in the meantime Ava was driving her dad's truck and hit a curb busting the front tire so they called and I went to pick them up and take them home. Luckily it was only a tire that was damaged but even that is still expensive, oh well she is learning to drive and hopefully will be her only poor judgement while behind the wheel.
I watched a close game before we headed off to church at 5 and then the second half of another close game to close out the weekend of basketball. Florida has two schools in the final 4 for a change which is unheard of, LATER
