Well it raining lightly this AM which is much needed by the gardens and yards as Monday was a bit on the warm side especially with guests arriving some time close 6:30 or after. We ate supper at close to 9 as the boys were wound up from being closed up in the car for hours. They are wild to say the least but it was the first time according to their mom they had ever played on real grass, saw trees and the mountains. I honestly do not know how their parents handle them on a daily basis.
We spent the day getting ready for their arrival which was 7 hours off their first mention of being here for lunch but they made it after all of the distractions and of course the severe back up on I-77. We did manage to get word to take an early exit onto 21 which took them through and around the back up. We did get in a hike to the top in the afternoon and I of course manage my non stop first thing hike to the top as I try to maintain.
I grilled vegetables and marinated chicken breast for our supper as well as had corn on the cob and a fresh salad. We did have some fruit of the vine which helped as these two boys ran ragged first outside which was great to help tire them out but once they got inside it was like they ran ragged through the cabin. Standing in the windows
tearing the couches pillows off, crawling on the table, running toys across the TV, flipping every light switch, throwing toys and just general mayhem. I'm ashamed I have to write about them but will be so glad when they leave hopefully on Wednesday, oh well. Errol mentioned they have never been called back for a visit from friends because of their behavior and I see why. They try their best to control them but these boys feed on each others hyper activity and general misbehavior.
Well enough of my first impression of their visit. Hopefully they eventually will out grown this stage and settle down. Both are very intelligent but just hyper active and with out regard to any discipline. We had a good some what interrupted visit with Arianne and Errol at times when the boys were playing peacefully for 5 minutes. I did get to watch part of the Lightning victory in the first game of the Cup playoff. Son Bobby was at the game and it was a great home town/team win at 5-1. Go Bolts, LATER
