Sunday Morning July 11th

Well Saturday was another fun day filled with good eatin', hikes, golf cart rides, creekin' and lots of grand kiddos time. On a somber note we watched the celebration of life for Skip Ross who passed away a few weeks back from cancer. It wasn't totally unexpected as he had been treated and was doing better. Lots of tears shed for this man who gave so much to all who knew him. Truly a Godly man full of wisdom, grace and love for everyone who came in contact with him. Nancy and I had the privilege to be part of a group who knew him with dinner parties at his beautiful home in Sarasota as well at Element Church. His daughter Melody is a very close friend of Bobby's as well as a business associate with the Amway Corporation. Skip and Susan were known worldwide with their generosity.

Well I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish rollout. I did my routines and quiet times before anyone else awakened. The boys were so cute in the mornings when Bobby brought them down as they slept a good 12 hours. Nancy made pancakes with blueberries in the batter along with some sausage and everyone chowed down. Huck is having some teeth or gum issues as he is cutting a molar and at times is a bit fussy but both of the boys settle down when on the golf cart ride and we took them on several rides during the day.

The girls all went to Galax to shop with Annsley as us guys all stayed back and played with the boys. We took a hike before lunch and let the boys play until nap time. They napped for a couple hours and then we took them down to the small stream at the Heglars for an hour or so and they then went in the pool after getting back to the cabin. We fed them and then they got their baths and was in bed by 7 PM . We then decided to eat our supper which was cast iron skillet rib eye steaks, yeow were they ever great along with parsley taters, half runner beans and fresh garden salad.

After the cleanup we played 3 games of Euchre and the gals won the rubber game barely. It was after 10 so it was shower time and then some horizontal lab. We decided to all go to church with the boys and introduce them to our Cornerstone Family this morning for the first time, LATER
