Well Friday was a busy mostly fun day that started with a chill in the air and then quickly warmed up to the high 60's and may have reached the middle 70's. I know it was perfect for being outside after my two hours of pickle ball that started at 8. The evening found us at Keswick School watching Ava play basket ball and then J.V. team played and we just happened to noticed several of the girls on the team go to bridgePoint Church; so we stayed and watched that game.
I started the day with a well before 6 roll out to my cup of hot green tea laced turmeric and now a slice of fresh ginger root. Ginger has so many healthy properties as does the turmeric and Nancy seldom uses either in her cooking so I take both in my cup of tea which I now have acquired a taste for.
I got in two solid hours of pickle ball play and worked up a good sweat before heading home a little after 10'ish. I piddled around in the garden hoeing, transplanted some lettuces and herbs as well as feeding the new seedlings with some miracle grow. I'm very pleased with the new crop of earth worms which are the wigglers and they made great bait for bass but since I don't fish any more around here except at our Mountain Mom 's pond in N.C. the worms just keep my garden healthy. They usually go away during the summer months but with watering and turning the mulched soil over they reestablish and now almost every shovel full of garden dirt has worms, albeit small at this time but they will grow.
Nancy was off shopping after her doctors appointment and now the tooth which had cracked and she had a temp crown put on is probably going to need a root canal. This tooth will be a 3 grand tooth along with the many others in her mouth, oh well. We headed out around 4 for the school and there we met up with the rest of the Ross Family. They left after the first game where Ava's
met a more experienced and very aggressive on defense team which beat their team by 10 points. Ava played very hard and was one of the best players but they need ball handlers to bring the ball up the court. They will get better with time we hope; their record is 2 and 2 which is good considering the others teams with much more experience.
It was a tournament for the other girls and Keswick won big with the J.V. 57-2 win over another school. We stayed and watched that game and part of another before heading to Seminole City center for supper. Ava wanted a Freshi bowl which is rice and lots of veggies; she has become a picky eater some what by passing up burgers and fries which is good to some extent. I dropped them off then headed to Willie Jewels for pulled pork, slaw and fries which we brought home to eat. Amy and Tyler were out shopping as the church baby sat the kids and then they came by to pick up Ava around 10'ish. I was in the shower and soon ready for some horizontal lab afterwards, LATER
