Well Thursday was much the usual with a 6 ish roll out to start the day. It was a bit nippy as I rode out to the rec after my normal routines but the sun was out and the skies were clear and by late afternoon once more we had the doors and windows open. We had a good crowd of advanced pickle ball players with a new player who is the ping pong champion in the area. He had a great game with some unbelievable shots and I had the privilege to play with him and against him several times through out the morning. After nearly 2 hours and a wet shirt I headed out for home.
I hand watered and then fed many of my seedlings as well as harvested lettuces, kale, beet greens and some basil for a large garden salad. Amy came with the kiddos a little after 12 for lunch. Little Eliza Faye was her charming self and we watched her take a couple steps on her own without holding on. Hopefully she will continue to venture into this new area of maturing. We played in the toy room after lunch where she jabbered about the toys and danced to some of the musical ones. She is such a sweet baby and Sam while being a little rough at times just adores her as well. She never cries or fusses when he is wrestling or rough housing with her on the floor.
Well after they left to pick up Ava at school I read for most of the afternoon right up to supper time. I've stayed away from the carb's especially those Christmas cookies and now Nancy has just about given them all away. Patrick and Kathryn came by last evening and she loaded them up with a huge plateful plus they ate several while we played a couple games of Euchre of which the guys won 2 in a row for a change. Aunt Betsy came by on her way home from work and took a huge bag of them home as well.
Well that was about it for Thursday with not much new or exciting happening. Today Friday I'm skipping pickle ball and we are going to Ava and Sam's school Christmas program at 8:30 in the morning, yikes that is early! LATER
