Saturday

Well Friday was just nearly a perfect day with cool temps to start the day and by late afternoon we were at the beach in our suits. I started the day around a 6'ish roll out with my usual routine of; cup of tea, quiet time, posting of this ramble, lite breakfast then a ride out to the rec on my bike for nearly 2 hours of pickle ball. We had a good gang of players and the play was fast with long rallies and great points. I had a wet shirt when I said to "stick a fork in me, I'm done". Afterwards I dropped by the library before heading home. Nancy was at her Friday morning Bible study at SFBC so I hung a load of laundry on my new clothesline then work in the yards and gardens until she got back around noon.

We had lunch with just the two of us as everyone was getting together at GG's for supper including Bobby and his family. After lunch we piddled around and I headed outside to sit under the big oak and read until Bobby came from Riverview. He promised to take the family to the beach so we were waiting on them. They got here around 2:30 so we headed out to Redington Shores. Amy and Tyler  brought their 3 kids with them so the older kids could play. The water temperature to me was rather nippy after the past couple days had the land temps in the 40's to start the day; but those kids were in the water almost from the start. I for once never swam but did wade a little as they built sand castles, collected shells and chased the sea gulls. We were there about 2 hours which was plenty of time to get some sun. The beach was packed with lots of sun bathers.

After leaving the beach Annsley and Gabriel came back and took showers at our house before we met up with Amy's family at GG's for supper. She had a 20 pound turkey roasting along with 2 kinds of stuffing, green beans, carrots and of course smashed tater' and delicious gravy. What a feast that turned out to be especially after working up an appetite at the beach. Nancy made chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing for dessert. The kiddo's played hard until it was time for Bobby's family to head back to Riverview around 8'ish. After the clean up which I thought I would never get done washing pots and pans we sat around and visited until nearly 9. We headed out shortly thereafter as did Amy and her family. Everyone was entertained by sweet little Eliza Faye as she was cooing and smiling the whole time.

We had a nice chat with the author of the EPIC OF HAVEN and how he developed the storyline and characters without revealing too much about the conclusion. I'm at about chapter 15 in the book and while I try to read a chapter or so before lights out each night,I only got half way through a chapter last night, LATER
