Well Thursday was a work day for some, other than me but I did help while staying out of the way of the crew which installed our ductless a/c units. There were 6 of them throughout the day and they started around 9 and finished around 4 and we now have a/c and heat in the cabin. So now we are cool and when the cold winds start to blow in October we will have heat as well. It did get rather warm later in the day and the cool refreshing air was a relaxer in the evening heat and humidity. Whats nice about this system is it can be from room to room depending where you are in the cabin so we can have the upstairs units off when we have no overnighters plus its so quite you have no idea its even running.
I started the day much the usual with a before 6 rollout to my usual cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric and fresh ginger root while I posted this ramble then lifted up several by name to my Creator for comfort and healing. I heard nothing different from any so all is well and we did see a photo of Nancy's mom GG at a memorial and she looked amazing in the picture. Wow what a difference a year makes. I never thought she would ever get out of the Miami hospitals and get to Michigan but she is one tough old gal. I heard nothing from Paw Paw so all is well I suppose and of course we speak with our "mountain mom" daily and now she is getting the same ductless a/c and heating system I had installed yesterday.
I did get in some garden work as I transplanted a dozen or more kale seedlings and my lettuces are showing some great colors as well as the radishes are up and the half runner beans are putting on new leaves. All of the tomato and pepper plants are looking great and I noticed new buds on the jalapeno pepper plant. The herbs all made it and are adding new growth as well. The flowers in the side planter were crushed by foot as the worker(s) were in the area due to the install but they will come back next year plus Nancy wants to add some new perennials flowers there where they workers crushed the existing ones. There wasn't many destroyed but what they did crush was to the ground.
We got in a nice after supper hike to the top of the mountain and visited with the Brownings for an hour or so. He is using one of his cabins as an airbnb and is keeping it occupied. It's a small place but so cute and near the rear of their house. He has it listed at a very reasonable price per night and even cheaper for much longer stays. We headed back down the mountain as dusk settled in an around the cabin. I hand watered some of the new seedlings with a mixture of horse manure in water which seems to give the new seedlings some much needed organic food.
That was about it as I hit the shower and then read until 10'ish, LATER
