Well Wednesday started out with my usual before 6 rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet times to honor Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all are holding with this post. I headed out to the Rec for an hour and half of pickleball and got in a good workout before heading home to hand water the veggie plants I had potted up into small pots for a week or so until I get the beds ready for planting. I still have one small bed besides the house to clear out the weeds and knee high grass before tilling the soil. The afternoons are back up into the 80's with no rain so I want to give these veggies and good start before setting them into parched soil.
Nancy needed me to drive her to her doctor's appointment at 10 so I didn't want to do any garden work and get real dirty so I sat and started son, Bobby's third book in the trilogy EPIC OF HAVEN which is titled THE COMING DAWN. I read about 4 chapters while she was in with the doctor then we headed to Sam's Club to stock up the freezers. They had boneless leg of lamb at 4 bucks a pound less than Publix which we are serving on Sunday for birthday dinners for Gabe and Anns with at least 11 folks and it maybe more if the kids bring boy and girl friends, oh well.
We loaded up on ground meat, chicken breasts, brats and lots of other goodies before making a stop at Lowes next door for some herbs. I picked up a Thai basil, sweet basil and parsley and moved them into larger pots as well. I brought a couple dill plants back the deer had eaten off and I'm hoping they make and then I sowed some cilantro seeds I had harvested from my mountain garden. I also sowed some Swiss chard and jalapeno pepper seeds as I could not find any seedlings, oh well. If every think makes I will have another good garden again this fall and winter here in hot sunny Florida.
Well we headed out to church for the Wednesday night service and renewed lots of friendship and was welcomed greatly and we got back home around 9'ish. I soon hit the shower and was watching some Hulu TV in the bedroom while Nancy had her TV in the front room with lights out before 10 which is a quite a change from the cabin as we have just the one TV in the living room, LATER
