Well Sunday turned out to be another great day with temps in the upper 70's but low humidity with plenty of sunshine. The coolness that was here on Saturday morning has moderated upwards but it was still really quite comfortable outside. We did turn the a/c back on as we had the house closed up for some reason, oh well!! It was a day we were going to try another church service in our area and while it was really packed despite having three services it was somewhat "showy" with the use of Pixar movies to make a point(no pun intended). We did see an old neighborhood young man who has overcome drug addiction and has started a ministry to help with those who are suffering addiction and we are considering becoming a part of that program. We as a group(our house church) that started at Element have been talking about what or how we can become more involved in sharing the love of Christ other than setting in a pew and being a weekly listener. This maybe what we have been looking for and it's with someone we have known since he was just a kid.
After the service we took our gang; the Tracy's and the Botbyl's as we all rode together in my truck. Seems when we want to all ride together I'm the chauffeur as my vehicle is the only one large enough to accommodate all 6 of us together to a new eatery for them. We had been to the Jade Bistro with Amy and Tyler and loved the Asian food. The group was a bit skeptical at first as the small restaurant is in a strip mall in Pinellas Park but they were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and the quality as well as the quantity of the delicious food. The owner was very sweet and friendly as well as was her family who served us throughout. We had a wonderful meal of Pho, rice claypots, soups, egg rolls and fried rice. Yeow everything is so fresh and made to order so don't be in a big hurry when eating there. It was a dining experience and hopefully we will try it again, I know we will. The owners are from Viet Nam who was able to get out of the country before the communist take over in the 70's.
Well we came back and watched the Bucs come from behind to beat the Cowboys in a close game. It's hard to root for a team that makes some many mental errors and penalties but they are still our home town team and have 4 wins so far this season. The Panthers in our division is still one of the three undefeated teams in the league so I have mixed feelings about who to root for when they play each other. The Bucs have no chance of making the playoffs while the cats have a chance to go all the way to the big game, oh well! We had to cancel our trip to Sarasota for a dinner that son Bobby was preparing for our Amway Team as GG was having some anxiety about being left alone since her surgery since Eric left for Michigan. Betsy stayed with her Saturday night and Nancy went over and stayed last night with her. I managed to watch football all evening which kept me entertained. It was a little lonely at bedtime as we haven't spent the night apart in years, oh well, LATER
