Well Friday was basically a fun filled day which included a lunch out with old dear friends, a hike, a visit and some reading time. I did piddle around for a couple hours in the morning until we got ready to head out to Sparta around 12:30 for our lunch date. I also slept in for a change as well.
The day started much later than usual around 7:30 instead of 6 ish which is first in quite sometime. I hadn't slept good the night before so I made up for it which was awesome. I did my morning routines that always start with a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric as its an anti-inflammatory and also a slice of fresh ginger which has all kinds of medicinal purposes plus I love the taste. I did my quiet time lifting up several by name and giving thanks for my many blessings. All is well with those I mention daily as I've heard nothing to the contrary.
It was such a beautiful morning with a nice breeze we opened up the cabin and let the fresh air in for a change. It was a perfect day for clothes drying in the sunshine and breeze. We love the a/c unit but when its nice out we shut it down. I ate light with oatmeal and some fruit as we were planning on our big meal of the day around 1'ish with Walt and Theia who we have known since the cabin was built. He was our electrician and plumber and we have been close ever since. They are such delightful people but are starting to have some age related health issues. We had a delicious buffet at the Pines Restaurant as their choices were prepared like home cooking. Their fried chicken was exceptional as was the smashed taters and pinto beans and greens, yeow what a feed and I never ate again the rest of the day except around 7'ish with a glass of red vino while finishing up a read.
We sat on the porch after getting back to the cabin with a stop in between with a visit to our mountain mom Helen. She looked great especially after her weekly hair appointment. I mentioned if she would like to join us on Saturday(today) evening for dinner out and she agreed. She lately has not been eating out like she use to or coming over to the cabin for supper. We read until 5:30 when it cooled off even more and took off to the top of the mountain for our hike. It was a beautiful evening with a nice breeze and we saw several on top who were also out an about. We stopped and sat for awhile with the Brownings until the evening shadows began then headed home.
The humidity seemed to have come back in around dark so we closed the cabin up and once again turned on the a/c which quickly cools down the cabin. We watched a little of the Fox Cable News and once again see where the deep state is attempting to over throw this POTUS with news of invoking the 25th amendment. Our POTUS needs to fire all of those leftovers from the Obama administration and start over with personnel who are on board with his agenda. It's down right despicable the news outlets are so biased and really represent those who want to destroy this nation at the expense of destroying our duly elected POTUS.
I tuned into the Ray's baseball on the internet and they were winning 10-3 when I hit the showers and then started a new read before shutting the lights out around 10:30, LATER
