The day started with my before 6 roll out, despite being up an hour beyond by bedtime as we traveled back from Brandon the night before. After a few quiet moments to honor my Creator and lift up those who are under going some extreme health issues such as my middle sisters husband Keith who was having a heart catherization and we just found out open heart surgery is scheduled for today. Keep him in your prayers as he has some serious health issues beyond these recent ones with diabetes. I had my usual cup of green tea laced with turmeric and fresh slices of ginger root to get the gastric juices flowing after a handful of vitamins and supplements.
I headed outside after posting this ramble to replant some lettuce seedlings the pesky squirrels have dug up looking for acorns in the garden. I'm been keeping them out as much as possible but they are so sneaky. They hear the back door close and down the trees they come so I've been tricking them and standing in the shadow of the roof with the BB gun ready. I seldom ever hit one but I sure send them scampering up the big oak and then across the power lines into other yards. I re-potted some marigolds and zinnias and then hand watered the gardens. We are so dry here and now with this heat the cold weather plants are starting to show some withering especially the lettuces. Hopefully they will recover from this heat and the constant digging around by the squirrels with a cool front heading our way over the weekend. It supposed to get down into the 50's here for at least one night with highs only in the low 70's, wow will that ever feel nice.
Well that was about it for the day as I took a bike ride to the library to check out the knee and its still not a 100% but I'm not in any real pain; maybe a little swelling yet but manageable. It's looking more like next year before I get back on the pickle ball court and definitely not until after Christmas. We are having some get togethers in this next week with lots of fine eatin' with family and friends. We learned we will be eating lots of pasta with lasagna, manicotti and spaghetti in the next couple of days as we eat out with friends and then have the family here Sunday night for Bobby's lasagna. Should be some great times together with family as Arianne comes from Miami.
Well we missed the debate with the RNC candidates but Trump has shaken up the country and the establishment. While he is somewhat bombastic I definitely think he has a chance to win and maybe set us back on course to get our country in order and away from all this political correctness. I like that he calls the leadership in Washington stupid and in my mind they have led us down the road to internal destruction as well as arming those who chant "death to America". The career politicians are scared and they should be as first they only care about their re-election and not what is best for the country as well as being bought from the big money folks. Trump is beholding to none of that faction and he speaks the truth when it comes to keeping us safe from the outside world like the radical Muslim terrorists, the Iran nuclear deal, getting the nation back to working again with bringing jobs back to the homeland, securing the border against illegal immigrants and this health care crisis that is bankrupting the country. You have to give him credit for telling those who are in leadership that we the people are fed up with the inept leadership in the government and their lack of concern for most Americans especially those who work hard and want a safe place to raise their families while obeying the laws that have given us many freedoms and liberties. This potus is in favor of more gun control laws while arming those who want to kill us. We don't want the federal government in our lives except to keep us safe from foreign or domestic terrorists who want to control us and take away our freedoms, Wake Up America and send a message to these in the government that we are fed up with their lack of leadership and if it takes a Trump to rattle them so be it, LATER
