Sunday Morning

Well we finally got some cold weather which had us all in long pants and long sleeve shirts. It's not supposed to last but a day or so and by Christmas Day its forecasted to be back up into the 80's, oh well. I did some major yard work and then we cleaned house and got ready for the big family get together for this afternoon where all the grand kiddos come for a cookie decorating party and then supper. Our niece Arianne drove in from Miami last evening and joined us at GG's for a birthday celebration supper for Nancy's sister Betsy's boy, Garrett; but since Betsy showed signs of an intestinal  bug we handed the food out the door for them to take home and eat. We did not want to be sick over Christmas as we have too much planned.

The day started much the usual with a before 6 roll out for me. The house was chilled down to the low 70's which felt rather nice for a change with the a/c off. The sun was shinning and the skies were blue as the front moved on through the area and cleared out all of the humidity. After my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric I did my quiet moments and started a new daily discipline book in addition to my E-Bread series and then posted this ramble before checking all of the news and social medias. I grabbed a Fuji apple and headed out to the back yard and the gardens to check on the plants as we had some heavy wind over night. Everything looked good and the beans are heavy with blooms, so we will be having fresh garden grown beans in the next week or so.

I fired up the mower and sucked up two large trash cans of oak leaves and some grass clippings and a lot of weeds and used this to mulch around my plants. This should help hold the moisture in and give my earthworms some additional food. The cooler temps seemed to have given the cold weather plants a boost as they looked healthy in the chilled morning air. This kept me busy until lunchtime and we had a fresh garden salad for lunch. Afterwards I jumped on my bike and headed to the library for some new reads I had ordered. The knees held up pretty good and I didn't feel any affects of the pedaling so just maybe I have turned the corner on this condition. I read for most of the next couple hours after vacuuming. We headed out around 4'ish to GG's to help with getting the dinner together.

The spaghetti and meat balls was delicious along with a fresh salad and crusty bread. I passed on the brownies and ice cream and then we played a new family version of Trivia Pursuit. Some of the questions were obvious and while some were very difficult Nancy managed to win against us all. Even Ava played with us as there were questions suited for an 8year old and up. It was going on 10'ish before we finally headed for home, LATER

Don't forget todayto take a couple hours to gather with other Believers and worship our Creator!!!
