Wednesday Morning August 28th

Well Tuesday was basically another soggy damp wet day with cool temps in the morning which finally gave way to less soggy and it did warm up slightly. The rain finally stopped mid morning but we never saw the sunshine for another day and the fog came in just before dark once again. The rest of this week starting today is supposed to be near perfect weather wise. I guess we need these overcast days to make us appreciative the near perfect days in the forecast.

I started the day a little later with a near 7'ish roll out as we had been up late watching Netflix's. I had my usual cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator in giving thanks and lifting up several by name. Most all seem as well as can be expected with no change for many due to their ages and health issues. I haven't heard the past day or so how Paw Paw is doing but he is home once again but for how long no one knows. All we can hope for is that he is being bearable to his care giver and not in too much discomfort; everyone else seems about the same.

I spent the morning on the internet as it was too wet to do much outside except to take the compost down to the pile and turn it over with the pitchfork and check the gardens. I did do a couple small honey do's but mainly read. We invited the Tracy's for a late lunch/early supper of the homemade vegetable beef soup around 3'ish and then we played a couple games of spades of which we each won a game right up until it was time for me to leave and pick up neighbor Gerald for some nearly two hours of pickle ball at the Roaring Gap Club with two other fellers. We had great points and a good workout on the non skid surface of the court under the lights as the fog once again made its presence.

We heard from our son Bobby, Katie, Annsley and Gabe the twins Katie is carrying are both boys. So it looks like the Triplett name will be carried on for generations as Gabe was the last one to carry the name and now with these twins who I think will be named Rhyder and Huxston. I'm not positive on the spelling but these are the names they mentioned over the phone and I have no idea where they came up with these names either, oh well, LATER
