Well Friday was another gorgeous day with heavy fog to start the morning but after about 9 it turned to bright sunshine and blue skies with temps maybe reaching the low 70's for a high. I finally started to heal with the knee and the pain subsided thus no more limping. I can still feel the tightness so I took it easy during the day, resting, icing and still taking the anti-inflammatories. I ordered a brace on line along with several Christmas presents and should get it some time next week. I'll not do any rigorous activity until I receive the brace. I did hand water the gardens and I plan on attending Ava's game this morning.
I did my usual morning routines that start with the cup of tea while I post this ramble then some quiet moments with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting several up by name for comfort and healing. I'm so thankful I can walk without pain and now see myself back on the court in a few days or at least riding my bike for some cardio and testing out the knee. All seem as well as can be expected due to ages and issues.
I read throughout the day and nearly finished the book on the first Pilgrims plantation which is very redundant and not an easy read or as interesting as it was written in second hand. Excerpts of the old original first hand writings are almost not understood with the dialect of the times and the manner in which they communicated with written verse. It was a tough time for those who were here first with hard land for growing crops, fires, famine and trouble with some of the Indians except for a few who them selves were under siege by other Indians. William Bradford did an honorable job to keep the community together as best he knew how but they never stopped honoring GOD throughout their existence. It was this honor that got them there in the first place and away from the church of England.
Well we had a huge mountain breakfast to start the day for a change with eggs, grits, bacon and toast which held me unto supper time. I usually have an apple for breakfast on my way to the Rec while riding my bike. Well that was about it for the day as there wasn't much going on. Nancy is still hacking but doesn't seem to feel ill so maybe her issue are allergies, LATER
