Well Thursday was a busy day that saw us with Amy and the grand kiddos for most of the afternoon and then again the kiddos for the evening as Amy and Tyler had a date night. They are so full of energy and growing so fast they just wear you out but are just awesome kids and we so enjoy having them around. I grilled their favorite chicken drumsticks for supper and they chowed down and then of course later while watching a movie with grandma I made them popcorn. She had made cutout cookies all afternoon with them as they loaded on the decorations and sprinkles to the cookies as well as the kitchen floor.
I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet with my Creator. I still haven't heard from Paw Paw in several days as his phones go unanswered but all is well I suppose. GG is doing good and she is now quiet the talker and has lost all of the signs of the stroke she suffered months ago. All of those I mention by name are hanging in there at this point in time. Nancy was off to a dermatologist for a check up and all seems well except for a couple areas which can be taken care of this summer with our doctor in the mountains.
I headed out around 8 for two hours of pickle ball play at the rec. and then stopped at the library for a couple books I had on order for months and one of which is titled THE ROOSTER BAR by Grishman. I read about a third of it during the course of the afternoon and evening and its very interesting. I did take off for an ear lowering after pickle ball and then again after lunch to look for sod and a tree to replant in the front yard. I found a beautiful Crepe Myrtle at a reasonable price and the sod should be here by Monday so I can start on the front yard. I've been watering and now need to fertilize the grasses and get it established before we head out to the mountains in June.
After the supper cleanup I headed into watch the Lightning lose in Boston in a physical game that was close and I did learn the Rays beat the Red Sox at home in their opener. We are planning on a trip to a game with our Life Group in the next couple of weeks. Well it was a busy day and by 10'ish I was ready for some horizontal lab, LATER
