Well once again its foggy, wet and damp after a couple of beautiful days here on the mountain, yikes its so foggy I can not see off the porches, oh well. Sunday was an awesome day of worship that started here at the cabin with watching Bridgepoint our Florida church on line and then again at Cornerstone in Sparta. Our service at Cornerstone was a benefit concert by a home grown group called Priority Blue which is primarily a Blue Grass Gospel quartet. They add a few other tunes with their "grass flavor" by Casting Crowns, etc. They are the best I've ever heard and speak to your soul through their harmonious voices. Afterwards there was a dinner on the grounds that was free for donations for two men who both suffered major motorcycle crashes this summer and were suffering some critical injuries. Both have been restored and are walking miracles by the healing grace of God.
I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my morning cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric and fresh ginger while I posted this ramble and then spent a few quiet moments lifting up several by name for healing and comfort in these their hours of need. All seems well with those I mentioned each and every day and now we must all lift up our nation and our Potus who is under severe pressure by the radical left who want to undermine the will of over 63 million folks who saw the corruption in the democrat party with their candidate. Our democracy is under fire by those who in the last administration are part of this deep state in subverting the constitution and the will of the people with undermining this duly elected Potus.
We helped to serve the pork barbecue dinner that included beans, cornbread and desserts wow what a feed down home country style. We served a couple hundred folks and then afterwards we stayed to help with cleanup. I washed all of the pans and pots for about an hour straight but its always good to assist with these large crowds that visit our church and help make them feel welcome. There was an auction afterwards as well but we left while that was still going on. The sun was out in Sparta but as we neared the parkway it started to fog in the area and at times visibility was limited. It stayed that way the rest of the day so there was no hiking in the afternoon. We sat and read and I broke down and watched the NFL for a change, oh well I sure do not support those who disgrace the anthem and flag.
We skipped any supper except for a bowl of popcorn the old fashion way around 6:30 and then we settled into the tube for the rest of the evening until it was time for a hot shower and some horizontal lab for me around 10:30, LATER
