Wednesday Morning

Well Tuesday started out with moderate temps but by late evening it had turned chilly once again with a strong breeze that made it feel even colder especially since the clouds covered the sun for most of the evening. It wasn't that cold of a bike ride to the rec even though I needed an extra shirt but we are supposed to get back down into the high 30's in the next couple of days for the low's.

I started the day with my usual 6'ish roll out and after a few quiet moments and my usual routines I headed out to the rec for two solid hours of pickle ball play. We had 3 courts of A players in action for most of the period and the wet shirts were in abundance. I'm going to miss today as Nancy has a doctors appointment with the cardiologist regarding her recent month of wearing a monitor. Hopefully we will find out what needs to be done or how severe her tachycardia is and that maybe a medication will help with that problem. She is still having pain issues with that recent bridge in her molars. She had taken way too much Tylenol so we must get her off of that. The Tylenol does help to relieve the pain so that is a good thing according to the dentist, oh well.

Amy, GG and the kiddos came for a lunch of frozen pizzas doctored up with fresh mushroom, yeow was that ever delicious along with a salad. I picked another colander full of green beans and we had some in a stir fry of chicken, bamboo shoots and mushrooms over Jasmine rice. Another tasty meal especially with the fresh beans. Little Eliza Faye was her charming self and has a cute smile as she melts your heart. Sam is doing flash cards everyday after lunch and he to is just such a sweet boy and loves playing with his sister albeit some times he's a little rough. She never complains or cries but goes back for more. She comes into the reading room and climbs up on my lap and points to the laptop wanting to see videos for about 5 minutes then she's gone again.

After they left to pick up Ava from school we chilled until it was time to start super. I finished a book by Yates titled THE EASTER PARADE  and gave it to GG to read. The setting takes place in her era in the early 40's. Yates is a fantastic story teller and puts you right in the settings. He and Pelecanos have my attention when it comes to reading fiction for now. Both write from the heart and in the era's I can associate with. Pelecanos writes within the Vietnam era and its aftermath and with the drug craze that was starting to infiltrate and become an influence in our culture. We spoke with our mountain mom Helen and they have been having decent sunshine weather for the past couple days despite it being down in the freezing level at night.

Well after the cleanup from super we settled into the Fox News Channel and the big headlines are that NBC's Brian Williams has been suspended for lying or embellishing his stories so there goes his credibility especially from the position he held as an anchor. I was never much of a fan of his but when I couldn't get FOX I would watch him and take what he said with a grain of salt. I can not for the life of me understand why the media gives the left and especially the potus a pass on all of his lies and failures and especially the lack of care for the safety of Americans. If a person who was a conservative and by that I mean someone who favors smaller gov't intrusion into your life, free enterprise, protecting the lives of the unborn children, following the constitution that guarantees all of us the right to protect ourselves by having arms(guns) and by being able to decide what is best for us with our health care and having safe and secure borders. To me that is a person from the right or a conservative leaning position. What we have in the government in Washington for the past several years is just the opposite and we now are seeing the results within the country becoming radically divided between the races, the dream of becoming a success from hard work is no longer a virtue but relying on the gov't to support you with hand outs and no respect for the laws that keep us civil. Everything that once was bad is now accepted as the norm and what really scares me is the lack of concern for those who want to kill us with their suicide bombs and radical Islamist ideology, LATER
