Thursday Morning ..August 8th

Well Wednesday found us down off the mountain with our "mountain mom" Helen for some lunch at the Cracker Barrel and over to the rehab facility where we met with the staff concerning her sister's rehab and discharge next Monday. We then made a stop at the local Walmart before heading back up the mountain. It was hot at nearly 90 down below but a comfortable 80 when we topped the mountain.

I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my cup of green tea laced with ginger and turmeric while I posted this ramble, lifted up several to my Creator during my quiet time and gave thanks for all of my many blessings as well as lifted up our Potus Trump who is being once again eviscerated by the msm and those who are seeking his office. Everything is now his fault and especially these mass shooting, it's utter nonsense and so far out there. In actuality its the dems with their hate speech about cutting his head off, punching him and others as well as screaming obscenities and provoking attacks on his staff that is the cause for all of these shootings and the fact the dems will not secure our borders from the illegals. They are so blind with hate and then accuse him of their very actions which is typical of the left and the dem's. Since Russia gate failed its now racism and white supremacy they are now crying out with the help of the biased msm, disgusting is the nicest thing I can say about the dems and the left.

I did meet up with the supplier of the gummy's which are infused with CBD oil made from the hemp plant which is showing some beneficial health aspects. Sister Pat is giving Paw Paw some daily and it seems to have make a difference so I got them at half the cost as a family member here in N.C. makes them at his hemp farm in Elkin. The only problem is keeping them chilled in the heat as they will melt and dissolve into jello. I brought a cooler for that reason but if I want to have them skipped from here in N.C. to Va. that could be an issue. I bought a 4 month supply to take with us on Friday for him.

We took a nice evening hike to the top of the mountain and saw several folks who are up for the weekend which is quite unusual. The Cahoon's (Lee & Tommy)came by on their way to their place and we visited for a few and then we sat on the chairs at the Brown's Place(Carol & Tom) when they drove up for the weekend from down off the mountain so we visited a few and then we saw Shawnee and her daughter as we passed by their place and then Paula as well as Sarah as we headed back towards the cabin. The woods were dark so Nancy was on the look out for bears but it was such a pleasant evening for a hike with a nice breeze and no humidity.

We ate some leftover's around 6'ish while we watched the Fox News despite a lunch at the Cracker Barrel. We have enough leftovers to finish up at lunch time today then we will start over next week. We have been invited out to the Tracy's for supper this evening. I'm taking Helen back down the mountain this morning for a 10 o'clock meeting with the rehab folks to see if Martha can get into her car without any help. I have a feeling that will not work but we will see. Helen can not handle assisting Martha who I think needs to be in facility with round the clock care which she has been use to since she fell a couple weeks ago. She is one stubborn strong willed person who only cares for what she wants and is less than honest when it comes to her ability to care for herself, oh well we will see.

I tuned into the Ray's game and found out they played a day game and lost by a run, oh well, LATER
Another view on our evening hike from the the top of the mountain.
